Charter guide
Grace Bay is where most visitors stay and where most charters begin. Here is what a boat day looks like from this stretch of coast.
Grace Bay's twelve mile beach is protected by the barrier reef sitting just offshore, which is why the water inside it stays flat. That reef is the first snorkelling stop on almost every charter, and it is only minutes from the marinas at Leeward, Blue Haven and Turtle Cove.
From Grace Bay the Caicos Cays run east: Little Water Cay, Water Cay, Pine Cay, Fort George Cay and the sandbars between them. That entire chain is within easy reach of a half day charter.
Boats do not load from the beach in front of the resorts. Charters leave from a marina, typically Blue Haven or Turtle Cove, both a short taxi from any Grace Bay hotel. Your captain confirms the exact marina and time once your date is held.
The two hour sunset cruise runs west along the beach with drinks aboard and no snorkelling stop. It is the easiest boat option to add to a trip that is already full, and the best photograph you will take on the island.
