Providenciales
Eight beaches, and what each one is actually good for: swimming, snorkelling, kids, quiet or photographs. Most are within twenty minutes of Grace Bay.

Providenciales · North shore
Twelve miles of powder sand with a reef offshore that flattens the water. Calm, shallow and lined with resorts, which is why it keeps topping world beach lists. Best all-round swimming beach on the island.
Providenciales · East end
Shallow for a very long way out and steadily windy, so it is kitesurfing headquarters. Also where the beach horseback rides run in the morning.
Providenciales · North east
The quieter continuation of Grace Bay. Same water, far fewer people, and easy parking near the Leeward end.

A sheltered, bathtub-warm cove with almost no waves. The best beach on Provo for toddlers and non-swimmers.

Next door to Sapodilla and even shallower: you can walk out a hundred metres and still be knee deep. Access is via a residential path, so it stays quiet.

Dramatic, empty and backed by cliffs, with excellent snorkelling straight off the sand. The road in is rough, so take a 4x4 or arrive by boat.
Boat access only
A sandbar-linked crescent between Little Water Cay and Water Cay. No facilities, no crowds, and usually the best stop on a charter day.
Providenciales · Grace Bay
Home to Bight Reef, a protected snorkel trail you can swim to from shore. Good for a first snorkel before committing to a boat trip.
Half Moon Bay, the cays off Leeward and the sandbars between them have no road access. A half day charter covers all three plus a snorkel stop, and a full day adds the outer cays and a beach lunch.
