Turquoise water off Providenciales, Turks & Caicos

Celebrations

Birthdays, anniversaries and group trips

How to plan a birthday trip, anniversary, bachelorette weekend, family reunion or private function in Turks & Caicos, planned by people who live on Providenciales.

What you are celebrating

Every occasion has a different rhythm. These are the plans that work here.

Birthday

Birthday trips

A birthday on Provo works best as one big day and one quiet day: a private charter to the sandbar and Half Moon Bay for the birthday itself, then a slow beach morning and a reserved dinner table at Coco Bistro or Infiniti the night after.

Anniversary

Anniversaries

Sunset cruise on the anniversary evening, dinner at Delmar at The Strand or Rock House Cave Bar, and a private-chef dinner at the villa if you would rather not go out. Ask your hotel to note the occasion when you book.

Group weekend

Bachelorette and bachelor weekends

Villa over resort rooms, a full-day catamaran with music and a cooler, jet ski runs to La Famille Express, and one nice dinner booked weeks ahead. Groups over ten should split across two boats rather than one crowded deck.

Groups

Group and family trips

Keep everyone on one boat day so nobody misses the highlight, then let the group split for beaches and dinners. Sapodilla Bay and Taylor Bay suit mixed ages; Grace Bay suits everyone.

Events

Functions and private events

Beach dinners, welcome parties, vow renewals and corporate retreats all happen on Provo. Tell us the headcount and date and we will line up venue, catering, transport and boats as one plan.

Milestones

Milestone celebrations

50th birthdays, retirements and reunions usually run five to seven days: two boat days, one island-wide dinner, and plenty of unscheduled beach time in between.

A four day birthday itinerary

The plan we build most often for a birthday trip to Providenciales.

  1. Day 1

Arrive, transfer to Grace Bay, sunset swim and an easy first dinner. Confirm the boat time and the birthday dinner reservation.

  2. Day 2

Birthday: full-day private charter. Snorkel the reef, Iguana Island, then the sandbar with the cake and drinks on board. Dinner at Coco Bistro.

  3. Day 3

Slow morning at Bight Reef, lunch at Las Brisas over Chalk Sound, sunset drinks at Rock House Cave Bar.

  4. Day 4

Jet ski or clear-kayak morning, afternoon spa, and a private-chef dinner at the villa to finish.

Planning a group trip

Six things that decide whether a group trip runs smoothly here.

  • Book the boat before the flights: peak weeks sell out first, and the charter fixes the rest of the plan.
  • Reserve Coco Bistro, Infiniti and Delmar four to six weeks ahead for parties of six or more.
  • One group chat, one payer per activity. Splitting on the day slows everything down.
  • Airport transfers for eight or more need a van booked in advance, not taxis at arrivals.
  • Cake, decorations and champagne can be brought aboard most charters if you tell the crew in advance.
  • Late August through October is slow season: fewer crowds, lower rates, some restaurants closed.

Celebration planning questions

How do I plan a birthday trip to Turks & Caicos?
Pick your dates, book a villa or Grace Bay resort, lock in one private boat charter for the birthday itself, then reserve two standout dinners. Four to five days is the right length. Send us your dates and group size and we will build the day-by-day plan.
Can you celebrate a birthday on a private boat charter?
Yes. Every charter in our fleet allows cake, decorations and drinks aboard if you tell the crew when you book. Half-day charters suit smaller groups; full-day charters with a sandbar stop are the usual birthday choice.
What is the best anniversary itinerary in Turks & Caicos?
A sunset cruise on the anniversary evening, dinner at Delmar at The Strand or Grace's Cottage, one relaxed south-side day at Chalk Sound and Taylor Bay, and a private-chef dinner at the villa. Keep at least two days completely unplanned.
Is Turks & Caicos good for group trips and bachelorette weekends?
Very. Provo is compact, safe and easy to move around, and villas near Grace Bay handle groups of eight to twenty comfortably. The one thing to book early is the boat: large groups usually need two vessels rather than one.
Can you organise a private function or event on Providenciales?
Yes: beach dinners, welcome parties, vow renewals, reunions and corporate retreats. Send the date, headcount and budget range and we will come back with venue, catering, transport and boat options in one plan.
When is the cheapest time for a group celebration in Turks & Caicos?
Late August through October. Rates on villas and charters drop, the beaches are quiet, and the water is warmest. Some restaurants close for part of the slow season, so check the 2026 dining guide before you book dinners.
